Evidence earns the recommendation.
Fuji Gear Index is an independent publication of L Y Management LLC. The Fuji Gear Index editorial desk maintains the catalog, methodology, buying guides, corrections, and commercial firewall.
Publisher and scope
Fuji Gear Index is published by L Y Management LLC as an independent photography research and buying-guide project. The current scope is native Fujifilm X-mount stills lenses from major supported makers, plus electronically coupled Voigtländer manual-focus lenses.
The publication is not a camera retailer, marketplace, manufacturer representative, or reseller. Product names are used to identify and compare equipment.
Evidence hierarchy
- Controlled tests
Comparable resolution measurements on an identified camera, aperture, focal length, and protocol receive the greatest weight.
- Lens-specific maker MTF
Official curves are digitized and interpreted within the maker’s own chart system rather than compared as universal raw values.
- Technical corroboration
Multiple reviews, repeatable crops, and well-supported field findings fill gaps and tighten or widen the uncertainty interval.
- Manufacturer-only evidence
Claims without comparable corroboration remain visibly provisional or Data pending.
What we do not claim
A high Resolution Index is not an overall product rating. It does not prove better autofocus, rendering, ergonomics, sample consistency, value, or photographs. Buying guides use those factors openly after the optical shortlist is established.
Fuji Gear Index does not claim hands-on use where none occurred. Source-derived conclusions, controlled measurements, manufacturer specifications, and owner consensus remain separately labeled.
Commercial firewall
Advertising, affiliate commissions, sponsorships, retailer conversion, free products, and manufacturer relationships contribute exactly zero to the Resolution Index. No commercial partner can purchase a tier, ranking position, uncertainty label, buying-guide inclusion, or suppression of an evidence-based tradeoff.
The live status of advertising and affiliate programs is maintained in the Advertising & Affiliate Disclosure.
Updates and corrections
Material changes are dated in the public project changelog. New evidence may change a score, interval, tier, or recommendation. Source-specific challenges are handled under the Corrections Policy; disagreement by itself is not grounds to remove a supported finding.
